Throughout the 5 years of professional practice, I have mastered legal and business requirements of selected markets, which allows me to help organizations from different sectors achieve their operational objectives.
Next to supporting private enterprises in Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East and North America, I have also contributed expertise across three NATO bodies.
In the past 10 years, I have lived in a few countries, and I am currently based in Brussels, Belgium.
Besides providing legal advice to individual Clients, I am also a Co-Founder of WhistLaw (www.whistlaw.eu). This is a company specializing in the whistleblowers’ protection, which offers legal compliance services (internal reporting channel and legal advice).
I specialize on Business & Corporate Law and Compliance in the scope of EU law.
The comparative education of civil law (Belgian, Dutch, French, German, Polish) and common law (UK and US) systems formed my critical thinking of the legal field in the context of its cross-border implications.
This means that as one of a few practitioners, I can provide advice not only based on EU and international laws but also domestic laws and market practices applied by major jurisdictions.
Owing to this, I can look at legal regulations from a broader angle, and ultimately provide well-considered and tailored advice.
In the past five years, I have led, managed and contributed to the projects of global impact and international significance to companies. I have worked with private establishments (SMEs and large enterprises), international organizations and NGOs and developed business relationships in more than 30 countries worldwide.
I have obtained three distinct law degrees: Master of Law (MLaw), (Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun) Master of Laws (LL.M.), and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) (Maastricht University).
I also received a Data Protection Officer certification (European Centre on Privacy and Cybersecurity / University of Lisbon) and certification on the Corporate Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility (University of Zurich).
Except for the legal passion, this proves my ability to understand the complexity and ambiguity of legal aspects in a broad sense. Most of all, however, this qualifies me to provide advice on complicated legal issues related to cross-border transactions.
Next to daily advice, I often have a pleasure to give university lectures and provide legal trainings to private companies. I have also attended conferences and seminars as a speaker and panelist.
